I know what you mean about finding the money to try Lactagen. I was in a similar problem. I am currently in negative cash flow–there are not even pennies to pinch. I found out about Lactagen around January of this year but didn’t have the money to buy it. I have to admit that I was also skeptical and didn’t want to “waste” my money on something that wasn’t going to work, even if it had a money-back guarantee. (I’m sure you know what I mean, since it seems like you’re also having financial difficulties.) In May, several of my friends got together and surprised me with $100 for my birthday and card that said “This is so you can buy the Lactagen. If it works, we’ll throw an ice cream party!”
So, now, I am on the last day of the program (I started in June after coming back from vacation). I am on the last day and am very excited about being about to eat and drink dairy products again. Two days ago, on the 3rd to the last day the program, the instructions say to drink milk (instead of the powder)–8oz, then 10oz on the second to the last day, and lastly (tomorrow) 12 oz twice a day. And even after doing the program for more than 30 days I was still skeptical. I thought, “are you crazy?! I can’t drink milk. I’m going to get sick.” I couldn’t believe how scared I was of a glass of milk. I put off eating breakfast for 2 hours that day because I didn’t want to face drinking the milk! I thought to myself, what happens if I get sick, I have to go to work … are they sure this is going to work? But I did it. And I was fine. And I drank the second 8 oz at night, and I was fine. And I did the two 10 oz glasses of milk today, and I was fine. And seriously, I can’t believe it. I can hardly remember a time in my life (I’ve been lactose intolerant for more than 20 years) that I drank milk. I didn’t even know what to buy when I was at the grocery store! I’ve never bought milk in my life! (I’m sure my mom bought milk when I was a kid, but I’ve never bought milk. And now no one in my family buys milk; we’re all lactose intolerant.)
Rebecca, and anyone else who reads this, I have to say, this program is AMAZING. Even though I wanted to believe, I wasn’t really convinced until 2 days ago, and I’ve been on the program for over a month. I did have some gas and 2 days of diarrhea, but only on the days that I ate some dairy (it’s hard to avoid dairy in restaurants). But I am so glad that I’ll never have to deal with that again. This weekend my friends and I are going to the Cheesecake Factory! I can’t wait!
